Information we collect

Website & license purchases. When you buy a license through our website, Stripe processes your payment. We receive and store your email address, license key, checkout session details, and a device identifier ("client reference ID") used to activate your license on your Mac.

macOS app. SlapMetrics runs locally on your Mac. When you connect third-party services (such as Stripe, Google Analytics 4, Datafast, or Google Search Console), your API keys, OAuth tokens, and metric data are stored on your device. We do not receive or store your connected provider credentials on our servers.

License validation. When you activate or validate a license, the app sends your license key and device identifier to our servers so we can confirm your purchase and prevent unauthorized use.

Website usage. Our website may collect standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) for security and operational purposes.

How we use your information

Third-party services

We use trusted third parties to operate SlapMetrics:

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data they collect.
• Neon — database hosting for license records.
• Hosting provider — our website and API are hosted on infrastructure that may process request logs.

When you connect external analytics or payment providers inside the macOS app, those services' own privacy policies apply to data they collect directly from you.

Data retention

We retain license and purchase records for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your purchase records by contacting us, subject to records we must keep for legal or accounting purposes.

Your rights

Children

SlapMetrics is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
